Legal Paternity Testing & Social Security Benefits
In Colorado, the government requires that legal paternity be verified by an AABB accredited lab. Legal paternity testing to establish paternity supports the following benefits:
- A child may receive Social Security benefits due to a disability
- A biological or adopted child can receive social security payments after a parent dies
- A biological or adopted child can receive benefits such as veteran benefits, health and medical insurance, inheritance and other benefits.
